The month of February brings to you an anticipatory and captivating chess match coming up as two influential figures, Prince Adewole Adeyinka, Vice President of the Nigeria Chess Federation, and Dr Apollos Akomaka, Chairman of the Rivers State Chess Association will be gearing up for a grand battle in the upcoming tournament to hold on the 16th of February to the 18th of February, 2024 at CitiHeights Hotels, Sheraton Road, Ikeja, Lagos by 9 am to 5 pm daily.
The battle will be FIDE Rated and will feature six intense chess game rounds, with a time control of 90 minutes + 30-second increment from the move. The exciting part of the tournament is, that the emerging winner will be awarded a prize of A Million Naira (N1,000,000), elevating the stakes and making this battle not only a test of strategic skills but also a lucrative competition for the contenders.
