The August FIDE Ratings are Out With Few Changes in Top Ten Ranking for Nigeria Chess Players.

IM Balogun Oluwafemi tops August FIDE ratings with 2289 and getting very close to reach milestone 2300 rating. Balogun Oluwafemi reached the top of the list with 5 points beating IM Anwuli Daniel to it after winning a total of 10.20 points in the recently completed elo gain African Chess Championship in Tunisia. IM Anwuli Daniel lost -11.00 rating points but still maintained second on the rating list.

A little shakeup in ratings from the African Individual Chess Championship made Nigeria fall short of 2300+ players. IM Adu Oladapo 2302 held number one spot from July 2019 FIDE rating and now ranked number four with New rating 2273. 

The biggest margin on the top 10 list was between Osunfuyi Abimbola (no 9) and Akinseye Abiola (no 10) there was a huge 28 points difference with Osunfuyi Abimbola having 2235 points and Akinseye Abiola having 2207 points. The Top gainer on the list was Sasha Winston Onyiah with k=40, he gained 62 points, becoming an expert with new rating 2030.

In the female section, Ofinowo Toritsemuwa lost -0.20, point which is minimal to maintain status quo. Apart from this, no ratings changed in the top 10 female section.
