FIDE ELECTIONS IN THE AI ERA: WHO IS REALLY WRITING THE MESSAGE?

BruvsChess Media reviewed the public written statements and social media posts of Jan Henric Buettner, Wadim Rosenstein and Timur Turlov, looking at writing structure, repeated phrasing, tone, campaign templates and other patterns commonly associated with AI-assisted communication.

In the posts reviewed from Wadim Rosenstein, we repeatedly observed highly structured and templated writing patterns often associated with AI assisted content. Similar signs appeared across material from the other campaigns as well.

That does not prove who used AI or how much. It raises an important question about the future of FIDE elections: as AI and prompt-assisted writing become more common, how much of what voters read comes directly from the candidate, from a communications team, or with the assistance of AI?

In an election built around ideas, leadership and trust, authenticity may become an increasingly important part of the conversation.
