A total of 47 participants took part in this month’s encounter.

F. Swan (the swan and veterans category had separate tournament and time controls)
There were 7 rounds event with 10+3 time control, except in the veterans and swan whose time control was 5mins each. The Players from the 1st five categories mentioned above competed in a single open event with winners emerging in their respective categories.
After 7rounds of chess, winners emerged from all the categories with Callistus Denyefa Eyetonghan (6points) becoming the first non-elite player to lift the champion’s trophy and the gold medal. Others are;
