The TSA has implemented a rule regarding liquids, gels, and aerosols that can be brought through airport security checkpoints in carry-on bags. This tsa liquid rule specifies that such items must be contained in individual containers that do not exceed 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) each, and that all containers must fit within a single, clear, quart-sized, plastic, resealable bag. Passengers are limited to one such bag per carry-on item, and the bag must be placed in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. Certain items, such as medications, baby formula, and breast milk, are exempt from this rule and can be carried in larger quantities. It is recommended to check the TSA website or consult with your airline for the most current information on what items are allowed in carry-on and checked baggage.
