Amin defeated FM Mhango Banele, while Adly and Rakotomaharo agreed to a draw after 100 moves.
GM Bellahcene Bilel got the better of IM Nassr Ali, GM Fawzy Adham defeated IM Talbi Chafik, IM Bwalya Gillian lost to FM Mwale Joseph and IM Mwali Chitumbo inflicted IM Andrew Kayonde a second loss in the tournament.
In the Women Section, four players are sharing the lead with 4/5: WIM Nassr Lina, WFM Mwango Lorita, WFM Ogbiyoyo Perpetual Eloho, and WCM Charinda Kudzanayi.
