The Nigerian dominance at the ongoing Zone 4.4 has not spared the ladies section as Nigerian Ofowino Toritsemuwa has taken a sole lead going in the sixth round.
Ofowino stunned top seed, FM Ogbiyoyo Perpetual Eloho in round five to be the only player with perfect score of 5/5.
WFM Ogbiyoyo Perpetual Eloho and Ghanaian WFM Ayiku Angela Naa Amerley are second placed with 4 points each.
Going in the sixth round, it seems Ofowino has a golden opportunity to widen her lead as she battles it out on board one with WFM Ayiku Angela Naa Amerley who is way lower rated than her (almost 400 ELO difference).
The same cannot be said of top seed WFM Ogbiyoyo Perpetual Eloho whose board two opponent fellow Nigerian Peace Samson is only a 131 behind Perpetual’s ELO points.
