Team Kenya Selection Criteria
Chess Kenya as hosting Federation will have a right to field five teams. One invited team and four additional teams. In case of an odd number of teams, a sixth team can be entered.
The federation will constitute and fully sponsor one invited team giving priority to players who will still be under 16 in 2020 and based on merits (only position 1-2 in under 14 and 16).

The slot for the additional teams are open on a first-come-first-serve basis but must conform to the following conditions
- The team members must have participated in the National Youth Championships 2019.
- The team must meet the composition required of three boys and two girls
- The team can include a maximum of two non- citizens.
- The team will meet all costs associated and must be paid by 15th November 2019.
