I have just arrived home after playing in the DSK Rapid championships! I ended joint second but third on tiebreak! Well done to Mr. Davies!
The event was a nice one at the DSK German school in Tamboerskloof. I lost one game to Charlton Mnyasta who played well! Jason Davies however proceeded to win the first six and then took an easy draw with Henry Oliver, newly arrived from Durban who ended in second place. IM Watu Kobese organized the event and everyone enjoyed the German restaurant which had some great soup as well!
The junior event started at 11:00 am and they were still playing when we left!
