Awesome Chess Academy Opens in Ibadan

GM Anatoly Karpov once said, “chess is everything – an art, science, and sport“.


The above statement is nothing but the truth for chess players around the world as research as shown that chess is indeed life!
The above statement is also the premise on which Awesome Chess Academy was birthed! It is situated at Ashi Road in the ancient city of Ibadan.

Awesome Chess Academy is out to train people and most especially the younger generation chess game so that they can deploy their energies productively! School within Ibadan has already started enjoying these services. Awesome Chess Academy also doubles as a Chess Club where chess players can come and enjoy chess games with other members of the club. There will also be rated tournaments as often as possible.

Oyo State and most especially the ancient city of Ibadan is set to experience a total overhaul with the opening of Awesome Chess Academy. Mr. Lekan Adeyemi, the FIDE Vice President during his courtesy visit to the Academy last week donated 5 Chess Sets and showed his happiness in seeing a chess club of this sort springing in his state of abode! Other people who have also donated 5 Chess Sets each are FIDE Master Fawole John Oyeyemi and National Master Ayo Oguntuase
