The 1st ever Richard Asibor Memorial Chess Festival organized by Dasaolu Rotimi on behalf of the Asibor Family holds on the 4th to the 8th of September 2019 with over 1.5 million in prizes to be won.
The festival will consist of:
A Knockout Blitz Event of 2 games, with a control time of 3 minutes plus 2 seconds added per moves.
An 11 Round Swiss Blitz Event with a control time of 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per game
A Rapid Event of 6 rounds with a control time of 20minutes plus 10 seconds per game
A 7 Round Classical Event with a control time of 1hour 30 minutes plus 30 seconds per moves
A Kiddies Event for children ages 12 and below with a control time of 25 minutes each

The 6 Rounds Rapid Event holds on Wednesday 4th September 2019
The Knockout Blitz Event holds on Thursday 5th to Sunday 8thof September 2019
The 7 Round Classical Event holds on Thursday 5th to Sunday 8thof September 2019
The 11 Round Swiss Blitz Event holds on Saturday 7th to Sunday 8thof September 2019
The Kiddies Event holds on Saturday 7th to Sunday 8thof September 2019

Venue: The festival will hold at the Chevron Recreational Center, Gbabada, Lagos State.
For interested contestants, registration starts now and ends on the 3rd of September 2019 (late registration fee of 1000 Naira applies)
Registration fee for Blitz Events is 1000 Naira only!
Registration fee for the Rapid Event is 1500 Naira only!
Registration fee for Classical Event is 5000 Naira only!
Registration fee for Kiddies Event is 4000 Naira only!
Note: a discount of 1000 Naira for participants playing in all events
